Call For Submissions, The Union Gallery
The Union Gallery is accepting submissions from all artists for:
THE MAIN SPACE AND THE PROJECT ROOM
For the main space, we are open to work in all media from artists at all stages in their artistic development and encourage innovative work that contributes to the discourse surrounding contemporary art practices. We have a limited number slots because of our student programming during the year, and are currently only planning for exhibitions in spring/summer 2009. A complete application includes: exhibition proposal and artist statement(s) and any special equipment requirements, time frame for installation, curriculum vitae, 15-20 digital images for a solo exhibition, 5-10 for each person applying for a group exhibition, digital documentation list (year, title, medium, dimensions in cm. (height preceding width)), insurance value.
The project room is a small self-contained space within the main gallery. It is a venue for the presentation of time-based, new media, sound and installation works (contingent on available equipment). We are accepting proposals for January – May 2009 slots. Submissions in other media will be considered contingent on available space. A complete application includes: exhibition proposal and artist statement and any special equipment requirements, time frame for installation, curriculum vitae, 10-15 digital images supporting proposed work, digital documentation list (year, title, medium, dimensions in cm. (height preceding width)), insurance value .
Payment of fees: fees for professional artist exhibitions will be paid according to gallery budget.
Deadline For Submissions:
on or before November 15, 2008
Submissions will be adjudicated by the gallery selection committee and notification made within 3 months of the deadline. (for project room within 1 month)
