Short Term Marketing and Communications Coordinator position available

Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre seeks a Marketing and Communications Coordinator for a short-term contract August 2009. The selected candidate will coordinate a multi-faceted advertising campaign that will require liaising with participating advertising partners, to be completed by September 2009. The development and implementation of the campaign, in consultation with the advertising partners, will be the major responsibility of the selected candidate. The candidate, in consultation with the advertising partners, will develop promotional material and make the necessary arrangements for its dissemination according to the specific timelines of the project. Salary and hours pending funding.

Requirements:
-Marketing and communications or design background.
-Demonstrated computer aptitude and design sensitivity including knowledge and ability to apply web design programs, graphics programs and Microsoft office programs.
-Time management skills.
-Leadership skills.
-Oral and written communication skills.
-Ability to work collaboratively.
-Work experience with artist-run centres and the not-for-profit sector an asset.
