*Rising Roots Star embarks on Train Tour to Cross Canada-*
*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*
Winnipeg's rising roots star Ingrid Gatin will be making her way across
Canada this fall with her first full-length album, /Broken Tambourine/.
The Broken Tambourine Tour, sponsored by VIA Rail, will take the lovely
songstress and her band from Vancouver to Québec City by train,
entertaining the passengers on board, with accordion, violin, and trash
can percussion. The crew will play some VIA Rail Train Stations and
popular venues and cafés in almost every major city with a cast of
amazing supporting bands and artists.
After a winter tucked away in a cabin in the woods, composing new music,
Ingrid returned to Winnipeg to work with Lloyd Peterson, crafting the
eclectic and beautiful /Tin Heart/ EP. The spring brought Ingrid out
into Eastern Canada on the Great Lakes Train Tour with indie darling
/Miss Emily Brown/. And after a busy summer-- collecting the pieces of
the rest of the album, recording, playing festivals, and collaborating
with talented musicians and artists alike-- anticipation is building for
the release of her first full-length masterpiece.
Ingrid Gatin's strong, soulful and sultry sound will stir your emotions
and move your body. Drawing her eclectic sound from soul, blues, folk,
and gypsy influences, Ingrid uses the interplay of vocals and piano,
accordion, mandolin, violin, and ukelele instrumentation to build her
unique and beautiful brand.
