Rueben deGroot is a Kingston singer/songwriter who writes country and roots influenced songs. Since moving to Kingston in 2007 from Vancouver, Rueben has released one EP with Apple Crisp, “The Winter of Our Discotheque”, and is preparing to release a full length disc in the spring of 2009. Rueben’s band features local heroes Rob Radford, Josh Lyon and Paul Meuller (none of whom appear on the song on this compilation). The song “An Island” will be appearing on Rueben’s upcoming Apple Crisp release.

Since she was a young lady, Christina Foster has been singing and performing in the rural routes north of Kingston as well as in the city and has toured Ontario. For many years she was part of dynamic and sweet sounding folk trio The Lady Racers. They were privileged to play many wonderful shows presenting their beautiful three-part-harmonies whilst touring around Ontario in 2007. They also released the album “Here and Now” the same year. Now taking her own songs solo, she has a self-titled 5 track mini-record, released on Apple Crisp Records in April 2009
