Born in Brockville, Ontario in 1968, John Climenhage has been painting, teaching and exhibiting throughout Canada and the U.S. since 1989. He apprenticed in Victoria with acclaimed oil painter Jim Gordaneer from 1994-1999. He has a broad knowledge of art history which he references in both his landscapes and abstract works.
