SAQA Synthesis II Textile Exhibition

The SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) Central Canada group has mounted a Juried Exhibition of 20 stunning pieces of Fibre Art in the Main Gallery. A diverse sharing of complex surface design, embellishment, hand stitching and machine thread painting is included in the work by sixteen Ontario and Quebec Artitsts. In the sdjoining Gallery, 20/20, Twenty Canadian Fibre Artists Imitate Canadian Art, the amazing LAURENTIAN FOOTHILLS Fibre project which is a project created around the beautiful painting "Saint Saveur" by Anne Savage in 1935 and currently in the collecrtion of the National Gallery of Canada was created by twenty local Kingston area and Central Canada members of SAQA.
