City of Kingston Arts Fund Grants2010 CKAF Operating Grant Program The City of Kingston Arts Fund provides for approximately $300,000 in Operating Grant Funding per year. The Jury has discretion with regard to the amounts awarded but normally operating grants will have a $10,000/annum minimum and a $70,000/annum maximum. The issue of limits to funding will be re-examined each year to determine if set criteria should be instituted. Under the present guidelines the Jury will be required to balance two requirements. These are:
PURPOSES OF THE CKAF OPERATING GRANT PROGRAM The purpose of operating grants is to support the stability, flexibility and leveraging capacity for diverse funding opportunities for arts organizations fulfilling a significant role in the Kingston community. for the insurance costs. Because adequate insurance is a prerequisite of
funding, all applicants
are strongly encouraged to contact an insurance agent/broker
prior to submitting their CKAF application. Applicants
should obtain
an estimate
of the costs associated with insuring their particular
organization. It may also be wise to include the cost
of this insurance
in their CKAF Operating Grant Application Budget. Year End Financial Statements:
