Fine Craft and Art Guide Listing Types

Deadline for applying: January 29, 2010

  • To qualify for a listing, you must be a professional visual artist/artisan/craftsperson whereby customers can access your products easily (i.e. you have studio hours or show your work locally).
  • You must be located within Kingston or surrounding areas as far west as Bath/Napanee, as far north as Harrowsmith and as far east as Gananoque.
  • You must be a current member of the Kingston Arts Council.
  • Include a description to be used in your listing. Keep in mind there is limited space – it may be edited to fit.
  • It is strongly recommended that you include studio hours. Having a set time for customersto visit makes it easier for them to buy from you and makes the guide more credible.
  • You do not need to be a member nor an artist to purchase a paid advertisement instead of a listing.
  • Images are to be emailed to [email protected].
Note: Finished brochure is 9” high and 4” wide, 2 columns per page. Photo submitted must be 300 dpi and no larger than the ad/listing size in jpeg format.

Basic Listing (maximum 4" high x 1.625" wide, photo included) $95.00
Ad 1/2 Page (3.75” high x 3.5” wide) $175.00
Ad 2/3 page (5” high x 3.5” wide) $220.00
Ad Full page (7.75” high x 3.5” wide) $250.00

Performing Arts Guide Listing Types

Deadline for applying: April 30, 2010

  • To qualify for a listing, you must be a performing arts group, venue, or special event.
  • You must be located within Kingston or surrounding areas as far west as Bath/Napanee, as far north as Harrowsmith and as far east as Gananoque.
  • You must be a current member of the Kingston Arts Council.
  • Include a description to be used in your listing. Keep in mind there is limited space – it may be edited to fit.
  • It is strongly recommended that you include studio hours if applicable. Having a set time for customers to visit makes it easier for them to buy from you and makes the guide more credible.
  • You do not need to be a member nor an artist to purchase a paid advertisement instead of a listing.

Juried Art Salon

Deadline for applying: March 26, 2010
Cost is $10 per entry, with a maximum of three entries
Note: Sculptoral pieces are limited to being able to fit in the 2 display cases

You will need to include in you application:
  • Artist Statement (max. one paragraph)
  • List of image(s) entered with title, media, size, and price (if for sale)
  • Images are to be burned to disk or emailed to [email protected] (email link at end of form)
  • Ensure images are jpeg files and PC compatible
  • Include one image file per art work entry
  • Maximum 3 images - exception for sculptural work which can have 3 images per artwork entered
  • Image files must be no bigger than 1 megabyte
  • Use the title of the work as the filename
  • Use your name as the subject line in the email
  • Clearly label the CD with your name if mailing hard copy to the office
  • Have only the image files on the CD
  • Test your CD before sending
