The Kingston Prize winners for 2007

The exhibition of thirty finalists for the Kingston Prize, Canada's National Portrait Competition was held from 5-27 October at the Firehall theatre in Gananoque. The winners chosen by the Jury were announced at a Gala Preview held on 4 October. The winner of The Kingston Prize of $10,000, presented by the W. Garfield Weston Foundation, was Joshua Choi, presently living in Surrey B.C. Honourable Mentions were awarded to Miklos Legrady and Jennifer Walton, both of Toronto. The People’s Choice prize, decided on the basis of ballots received during the exhibition, was won by Paul Robert Turner, also of Toronto.
