Contest Winning Film Seeks Crew with Industry Chops

Michael Catlin and Lenny Epstein, the producers of Ruby Can’t Fail, the short screenplay by first-time writer director Colette Lacousiere, hope to involve local key crew in the production of the HD film. The film project, which was selected as the winner of the Kingston Canadian Film Festival’s “10 Years, 10 Minutes” competition will be produced in and around Kingston in the early fall.

A young woman sets off with lofty aspirations and the hopes of her town on her shoulders. Ruby Can’t Fail, set in Los Angeles, California and Kingston, Ontario, brings that young woman home to face her lack of success.

We would like to be in touch with people who have experience in the film industry as: Director of Photography, Production Design/Art Department, Wardrobe, Hair/Make Up, Sound, Casting, and Locations or other fields.

Please send an introductory email to producer Lenny Epstein.
Email address: [email protected]
The casting process will occur in mid-July. Information for actors to follow soon.
