The County Reads

* The County Reads!*

In this celebration of books and their readers, five local luminaries
will champion five contemporary Canadian works and try to convince the
crowd – and the County – to vote for "their" book. The winner will be
announced on May 29 at the Prince Edward County Authors Festival.

* When: Sunday, April 18, 1:30 to 3:00.*

Where: The Lipson Room above Books & Company, 289 Main Street, Picton

Jill Hill will present /The Bedside Book of Birds: An Avian Miscellany/,
by Graeme Gibson

Sandy Latchford/ /will present /Nellie McClung,/ by Charlotte Gray

Wynne Thomas/ /will present /The Frozen Thames,/ by Helen Humphreys

Cathy Wilson/ /will present /A Complicated Kindness/, by Miriam Toews

The County Reads is presented by the Prince Edward County Arts Council,
the Prince Edward County Public Library and Archives, and Books & Company.
