Serving Up Some Soul for Loving Spoonful

This month DJ E, La Gringa, Redfoot will be joined by DJ Omid, debuting with the Shakedown. Other friends still to be announced!  There's lots to celebrate so come on out!

Soul Shakedown parties aim to bring the best in rare dance grooves from funk, soul to Latin, Brazilian, Pan-African, Arabic, Asian Dub, Bhangra Hip Hop and more. The party also raises funds for organizations doing social justice work and groups that challenge the status quo of neoliberal capitalism and colonization. We strive to construct a safe space where diverse peoples can shake it out with freedom and flair.

Loving Spoonful works to combat hunger by reclaiming surplus food for distribution to meal programs and through working with partners to develop and promote sustainable solutions to local food insecurity such as community gardens, school gardens, and farmers markets.
