Prince Edward County Encaustic Sculptural Painter, Andrew Csafordi, will be celebrating the running of the sap in Prince Edward County by offering a Two-Day “Maple inspired” Encaustic Painting Workshop on Saturday, March 23rd and Sunday, March 24th, 2013 as part of the Prince Edward County Maple Festival.
The Two-Day Encaustic Painting Workshop fee is $325 per person (plus HST) and includes:
• Big Maple Breakfast to kick-off the Workshop Weekend on Saturday from 9-10 AM
• Workbook and all materials
• Maple-themed refreshments and snacks throughout the weekend
Encaustic painting is fun and easy, using natural aromatic melted beeswax and oil paint mixed in for colour. A very friendly medium, the fast drying time allows one to create captivating works that will ignite their imagination. The warm liquid wax is applied to a wooden surface with brushes. Each layer is then gently fused using heat, resulting in a luminescent painting.
Workshop participants will draw inspiration from the maple tree for this special workshop while relaxing and painting in a casual studio environment in the tranquil countryside. The results will delight and surprise participants. No experience is necessary. Registration for this special workshop is limited to 6 participants.
All Encaustic Painting Workshops take place in Andrew’s studio at 54 Wilson Road (just outside the village of Bloomfield) on his beautiful farm in the heart of Prince Edward County. Workshop gift certificates are available and Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
The Andrew Csafordi Studio Gallery and Love Nest Studio Gallery will be OPEN DAILY from March 29th through October 2013 from 10 AM to 5 PM.
