Sulcs journey begins with a problem, her problem poses a question which then evolves as a meditation. For Sulcs  drawing starts as an inside-out experience, an extrusion if you will. By its very act of expression, Sulcs¹ drawing makes a connection in which she takes her interior monologue and creates a shared reality.  Through its power of communication, Sulcs¹ act of drawing becomes a form of survival and of freedom.

"The Time and Place of Drawing" is an exhibition of 10 recent coloured pencil drawings on rag by Sulcs, which are the result of her using the act of seeing and drawing as a tool for subjectivity and survival.
