The Kingston Arts Council

Established in 1961, the Kingston Arts Council is the oldest arts council in Ontario. Founded by a group of concerned citizens who saved the Grand Theatre from demolition—revitalizing it as a community performing arts centre—the Kingston Arts Council was incorporated in 1963.

KAC presents a unified voice for the arts in the Kingston community, and provides recognition and support for the arts, artists, and arts organizations in our area. Membership is available to anyone or any group interested in arts and culture.

The Kingston Arts Council is a registered, charitable non-profit organization.

Volunteers are essential to our work—please contact us to see how your time and vision can nurture our creative community.
