A Funny Thing Happened on the way to The Forum Music & Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim Blue Canoe Productions opens its summer portion of its season with comedic styles of Stephen Sondheim in this Tony Award winning musical comedy. In a desperate attempt to win his freedom, the slave, Pseudolus, attempts to help his young master, Hero, earn the love of a courtesan, Philia. Meanwhile, Pseudolus has to outsmart Hero's parents, Senex and Domina, Marcus Lycus: the slave-master and the warrior that has already paid for Philia; Miles Gloriosus. Oh, and some old man is looking for his children...TRAGEDY TOMORROW, COMEDY TONIGHT!
