Canada's Second Annual
International Podcasting Conference
June 22-23-24, 2007
Kingston, Ontario (Canada)
Canada's first podcasting conference returns this
year for another great weekend in Kingston, Ontario
this June! If you're a podcaster — or a podcaster-to-be
who is in need of a nudge — Kingston, Ontario
is the place to be the weekend of June 22-24, 2007.
This conference is in support of literacy in Kingston.
Podcasters Across Borders 2007 is organizing a
children's book collection for Central
Public School in Kingston,
ON. We're asking that each registrant bring a
favourite children's book to be donated to Kingston's
Central
Public School. Podcasters Across Borders 2007, the second annual
not-for-profit international podcasting extravaganza,
will provide you with a full suite of podcasting
how-tos — from audio production techniques to podcast
promotion and podcasting in an educational
setting — and a chance to spend a weekend with
generous, talented, friendly members of the Canadian,
American, British and Argentinian podcasting community.
Who's behind this?
This not-for-profit conference is being organized
by members of the Rogic Podcast Conglomerate; Canadian
Podcasters Bob Goyetche, Mark Blevis, Cathy Bobkowicz
and Andrea Ross.
Why Kingston?
Location, Location, Location! It's an easy drive
from Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, and the USA. It's
a great place, and family-friendly too!
Who's coming?
Look at the right side of the page! There are podcast
producers and listeners from Canada and the USA,
and from as far away as Britain and Argentina!
Where do I stay, etc?
You can find all the accomodations and details
here.
How much does it cost?
CDN$$100.
Why so cheap?
All of the money raised for this event, goes into
this event. We plan to have zero money left over
and hopefully zero debt. The 'profit' will be new
friends and new ideas.
