Thousand Island Arts (TIA)
A Country Home Christmas- 2006 Studio Tour

November 25 & 26 10 - 5 pm

Thousand Islands Arts invites you to share the magic of the festive season on the 15th annual A Country Home Christmas Artists’ Home & Studio Tour. Enjoy hot drinks, homemade cookies, the fragrance of fresh cut evergreens and the warm hospitality of 17 artists at 10 locations on this free, self-guided tour. A diverse array of professionally, handmade creations await you, perfect for that unique gift or to add to your own collection.

Studio Tour consists of Founding Members and Guest Artists of different mediums:
- Fine Art Painting
- Sculpting
- Pottery
- Textiles
- Wood Working and Carving
- Jewellery
- Furniture Making

TIA is a non-profit umbrella organization that is visibly active in planning and executing cultural events focusing on benefits for;
· Artisans - growing the capacity of artists/artisans within our membership.
· Business - becoming valued partners of community businesses pursuing culturally related goals.
· Community - having our member’s energy resulting in continuous cultural developmental opportunities for those residing in our area.
· Tourism - becoming a force resulting in the introduction and renewal of visitors viewing our community as a destination.

Our Organization is comprised of individuals, community leaders and business partners who have a passion to develop new and enhance existing cultural arts within our chosen boundaries of the triangle formed by Brockville West, Gananoque and Athens South.

Our Vision is to have our members be advocates for integrating the cultural aspects within our community with those benefits associated with increased tourism and community interests.
