COLOUR THE CANAL ART TOUR 2007
Registration Form For Colour the Canal 2007

Artists are invited to join us for the Colour the Canal Art Tour 2007. Several events are planned this summer along the Rideau Canal, and Parks Canada is providing us with access to 12 lock locations for our show. The Canal celebrates its’ 175 anniversary this year, and is being considered as a World Heritage Designation site.

This is a 2 day tour July 28th and 29th, 2007, and your entry fee of $35.00 will include you in this show. You must provide all necessary equipment (tents, canopies, racks) and remove them at the end of each day. There are no accommodations for storage of these items at the locks

You may choose a first and second choice of lock locations, and we will try to accommodate your request. Our locks locations are Ottawa, Hartwells, Black Rapids, Burritt’s Rapids, Merrickville, Beveridges, Smiths Falls Combined, Narrows, Newboro, Chaffeys, Jones Falls, and Kingston Mills.

For the month of July, the Rideau Canal Museum will host a show comprising one painting from each participating artists. This artwork must be framed for showing, and be of a “Rideau Valley watershed” theme. There will be limited space for this showing, and you must drop off and pick up your own artwork at the specified times.

The latest exciting news comes from Phil Alain, who has expressed an interest in the 175th celebration of the Rideau Canal and would like to create a mural using Colour the Canal artists. You may go to the website and view the murals @ www.muralmosaic.com. This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your talents!

Colour the Canal Tour is a fundraising event for Camp Merrywood, an Easter Seal camp on the Rideau near Beveridge Locks. We will collect 10% commission from each sale for the 2 day show.

This is a 2 dimensional fine art show. Register early to avoid disappointment.
