Call for Artists
The Merrickville Fine Art Festival, a juried exhibit
and sale of fine art celebrates its 5th anniversary
this May Long Weekend -- May 19 - 21, 2007. During
its first five years of operation the Festival has
continuously featured a rich assortment of works
- oil paintings, watercolours, pastels, mixed media,
sculptures, computer art, glass art, photographs
- created by Ontario and Quebec artists, and has
attracted visitors from Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto
and many places in between.
In 2007, the Festival will, once again, be open
to original, non-utilitarian two - and three-dimensional
fine art created by the exhibiting artist. Artists
interested in participating in the upcoming Festival
are encouraged to apply.
· Applications can be downloaded at www.merrickvillefineartfest.org
and should be accompanied by:
· Five (5) slides, photos or digital images
of their work, each clearly labelled with its number
and the artist’s name.
· A self-addressed stamped envelope of sufficient
size and with sufficient postage to cover the cost
of returning the photos/slides.
· A brief biography and artist’s statement.
· Applications, should be mailed to the Merrickville
Fine Art Festival, PO Box 506, Merrickville, Ontario,
K0G 1N0, and must postmarked by January 15, 2007.
